I agree-- there's nothing better than a game that kids will play by themselves. Marble games are perfect because it's fun to practice (by yourself)--and it's so easy to make teams: red ones vs. blue ones, etc.

I'm glad there are more marble games (and more the come), my son loves them. I'm liking the idea of the shoebox target, because he can play with us and by himself.

Good points about counting, adding and subtracting. Also--the paper towel tubes work really well for the littlest ones who may not be able to shoot a marble in the traditional sense-- with their thumb and forefinger.

What a great way to learn while having so much fun. It's cool that the children can count and subtract something "real," which makes it meaningful and all so much more fun. The addition of the paper towel tubes really help to encourage creativity and also a beginning of seeing how things move and work in this world (early, early physics)!
